South Granville  Residence

Set within an established South Granville neighbourhood, this expansive residential landscape brings together mature gardens, natural stone and refined construction detailing. Formal lawns, substantial hedging, specimen trees and layered planting create a lush framework around the residence, while stone pathways, custom planters and integrated lighting connect a series of distinct garden spaces.

At the centre of the landscape, a dramatic basalt and boulder water feature introduces a naturalistic counterpoint to the architecture of the home. Cascading water, large-scale stone and shade planting create an intimate garden setting below the residence, while architectural concrete is used within the water feature itself. Throughout the remainder of the property, stone-faced walls, crisp lawns and clipped hedging transition into mature Japanese maples, woodland planting and natural stone. Swick’s Landscaping completed the landscape construction and softscape throughout, including planting, lawns, custom planters, stone paving, irrigation, lighting and the large-scale water feature
