Patrick, originally from the Midlands in Ireland, has been in Canada for a year and a half and is thoroughly enjoying the experience. With two degrees in horticulture focused on environmental studies, he sought a career that matched his love for hands-on, labor-intensive work, ultimately leading him to landscaping.

After working with a few companies, he joined Swick’s, where he finds the team’s positive, diligent, and well-rounded attitude refreshing compared to other places he’s worked. For Patrick, the most fulfilling part of landscaping is seeing a project through from consultation to completion, knowing clients will enjoy the outdoor spaces he’s helped create.

Outside of work, he’s either in the mountains, at a lake, mixing music as a DJ, or baking. He even grows his own vegetables – potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and chilies – which he loves to cook with, often introducing his housemates to new flavours. At Swick’s, he appreciates the professionalism and sense of purpose that starts from the top and filters through the whole team, creating a positive environment with high standards
