Originally from Brazil, Luis joined the landscaping industry after being invited to Swick’s by a fellow Brazilian. With a background in production engineering and IT consulting, he was drawn to landscape construction for the opportunity to work outdoors, solve unique challenges, and see tangible results from his work each day. He enjoys the variety that every project brings and the hands-on problem-solving that comes with transforming outdoor spaces.

Luis finds the most rewarding part of landscaping is watching a project evolve from the early stages of excavation through to the finished installation. Seeing the team’s hard work come together into a completed landscape gives him a great sense of accomplishment.

Outside of work, Luis enjoys spending time with his daughter and their dog, Judy. He’s also passionate about technology, 3D printing, video games, anime, and learning about advanced physics and engineering.

Luis believes what sets Swick’s apart is its people. He values the supportive team environment, where everyone works together while maintaining a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship, technical excellence, and building landscapes that stand the test of time.
